We are looking for an Assistant Portfolio Manager to join our team and be the right hand to our Portfolio Manager. The ideal candidate needs to be a people person, patient and have excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of clients in the factoring business unit at Pro-Funding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the existing clients by giving personalized financing advice, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service internally and externally via telephone, email and written correspondence.
- Assist in the onboarding/application processes of new clients.
- Monitor client’s activity within portfolio, track client’s performance based on key indicators and create tailored factoring solutions or offer/cross-sale other products/services when needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the team of Account Executives based on portfolio considerations.
- Make recommendation to AE’s whether to approve, hold or deny purchase of specific invoices based on verification and credit results.
- Review and correct client load submissions for regular invoice fundings when needed.
- Review clients’ A/R aging, resolution of Disputes, Open Credits, Post Verifications and Confirmations on accounts as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring all advances and loans comply with loan policy and approved structure.
- Effectively communicate with team members, debtors, clients and management.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Skills:
- Professional customer service, Microsoft Office skills to effectively process client and collateral requests related to servicing a growing invoice portfolio.
- Ability to multi-task and stay focused at high levels of productivity.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service while meeting funding deadlines.
- Capability to remain calm and empathetic when dealing with customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and directions given by manager.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s or associate degree or some college courses is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of (1) year of customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Freight, transportation or general factoring, or logistics industry experience is preferred.
- English language with high proficiency.
- Comfortable with working Mon-Fri, 15:00-23:00h (US working hours)
